Quetzal è un album nato velocemente, all’interno di una alchimia creativa semplice e positiva generatasi nel gruppo durante i primi incontri in sala prove (luglio del 2018).
Di solito in sala prove un musicista, e/o chi canta, si concentra prima sul fare i suoni e subito dopo è incalzato dalla voglia di suonare e/o cantare: ..il più possibile.
Nel nostro caso è prevalsa una naturale voglia di conoscerci. Non si è dato naturalmente corso ad una sessione di “psiscoanalisi collettiva”, ma semplicemente abbiamo preferito dialogare su ciò che desideriamo nella vita rispetto al “suonare subito per default”.
Ci siamo soffermati spesso a parlare delle antiche culture del centro America, nello specifico di quelle riconducibili ai Toltechi ed ai Maya.
Da qui il nome della band: “K’in”232. K’in significa giorno nella cultura dei Maya, e il numero 232 è il giorno dell’Umano Giallo Spettrale (se vi va approfondite leggendo l’antico calendario dei Maya, lo Tzolchin).

Usually in the rehearsal room a musician, and / or who sings, concentrates first on making sounds and immediately afterwards he is driven by the desire to play and / or sing: … as much as possible.
In our case, a natural desire to know each other has prevailed. Naturally, there was no course in a “collective psychoanalysis” session, but we simply preferred to talk about what we want in life compared to “playing by default”.
We often stopped to talk about the ancient cultures of Central America, specifically those referable to the Toltecs and the Mayans.
Hence the name of the band: “K’in” 232. K’in means day in the culture of the Maya, and the number 232 is the day of the Spectral Yellow Human (if you go deeper by reading the ancient Mayan calendar, the Tzolchin).
